Reunited Again?

I know you must be saying, who, what, where?  Well on the left is Hermana Hinckley from the Spain, Barcelona mission and on the right is Hermana Watkins from the Spain, Madrid mission.  We all came out together last month.  Well how can we all be together again?  One frustrating phrase,   RESIDENCY PAPER  WORK!   This has been a little frustrating at times and Tuesday late afternoon at the end of our Zone Leader Counsel we got a call telling us we would probably be going to Madrid the next day.  What, with Zone Conferences starting on Thursday.  At 7:00 p.m. we were told we were going and we had to get pictures taken of ourselves and be at the airport at 6:00 a.m. the next day.  Won't go into the details, just suffice it to say, we got there.  We didn't get home until 7:00 p.m. due to a few other problems in Madrid with the Residency, but we got back.  The next few pictures were taken from my seat in the airplane, showing you the beautiful hills and mountains as we were approaching home.
Lots of windmills in the mountains.  I thought it was a fun sight.
These pockets of spanish farms in the mountains.  The Basque people are shepherds and do a lot of farming. They have beautiful gardens too.
We are getting close to landing and our home in Mungia is just over these hills.
This was a fun shot of a former monastary made into a huge hotel.  Just behind these hills is Mungia.  We are literally 5 minutes from our home to the parking lot of the hotel, yet we never hear a plane.  We were glad to be home.  It turned into a long night getting ready for the next day and the start of Zone Conferences.  We are so excited for another round of Zone Conferences.  We love being with our missionaries and learning from them.  We are also so glad to be home where things are so green and pretty.

  1. Anne, here is one of those "small world" experiences! Hermana Watkins served in the same mission as Brian all those years ago in Seville, Spain!! We made that connection because Elder (Greg) Jackson is serving as their assistant and he put it all together for us. So next time you see her, please tell her "Hola" from Elder Taylor!! (By the way Greg is the son of Chris and Becky.)

And more amazingly beautiful "post-card" pictures--I just can't get over how green and beautiful your mission is!!
    Love, Jill
