Merry Christmas From Burgos

The towns in Spain are so beautiful this time of year. They decorate so many of their streets and trees. We arrived in Burgos in the evening to a winter wonderland. Winter because it was very cold and a wonderland of lights.
The real lights of Burgos are these two wonderful Hermanas. They are Hna Sanchez and Moraza and they are feeding us lunch after our 3 hour block in church. They are both native Spaniards with a zeal and love for the work. They are working hard to get our meal ready.
The table is set and Presidente Clegg as well as Elder Esteves-Garcia and Elder Holmes are ready to eat. A wonderful meal of chicken with potatoes and rice and salad hit the spot on a cold December day in Burgos.
We thought we would take a picture in front of their tree. The missionaries all try to do a little something in their pisos to bring in the Christmas spirit. Actually, through their hard work and service to others they are spreading the real Christmas spirit all around.
Final group shot before we get on the road for home. We love being with our missionaries and especially when we can be in their pisos and break bread with them. It is a nice way to get to know them better as individual people. These young people work hard and give all in their service to the Lord that sometimes we forget they had another life before they came. They gave up a lot to come, but are gaining so many wonderful blessings by their service. We love them as our missionaries and also as children of God who were reserved for this time to take the gospel to all the world! We love being in the Spain-Bilbao Mission, it is the best with the best missionaries ever!
